Clay Buchholz is getting another chance to prove his worth to the Boston Red Sox.

The right-hander will start against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday in place of the injured Steven Wright, who might not return to the Red Sox’s rotation this season. But Buchholz performed well in the three spot starts he already made in August, going 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA. He’ll also be batting ninth Tuesday, as the Red Sox are playing in a National League ballpark.

That fact means designated hitter David Ortiz is out of the lineup again, but otherwise, the batting order is mostly the same as Monday’s. Catcher Sandy Leon and left fielder Chris Young will start after being pinch hitters Monday, batting fifth and seventh, respectively.

Here are both teams’ lineups for Tuesday’s contest.

RED SOX (76-61)
Dustin Pedroia, 2B
Xander Bogaerts, SS
Mookie Betts, RF
Hanley Ramirez, 1B
Sandy Leon, C
Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
Chris Young, LF
Yoan Moncada, 3B
Clay Buchholz, RHP (5-10, 5.20 ERA)

PADRES (57-80)
Travis Jankowski, CF
Wil Myers, 1B
Yangervis Solarte, 3B
Alex Dickerson, LF
Ryan Schimpf, 2B
Hector Sanchez, C
Oswaldo Arcia, RF
Luis Sardinas, SS
Paul Clemens, RHP (2-4, 4.93 ERA)
