Saints Coach Sean Payton Seems To Like Patriots’ Tom Brady Tribute At Gillette

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton knows a thing or two about being on the wrong end of the NFL’s punishment powers, so he certainly can sympathize with Tom Brady.

The NFL suspended Payton for the entire 2012 season following the Bountygate investigation, as the head coach took the brunt of the punishment. He and Brady are kindred spirits, in a way, after the NFL banned Brady four games for his alleged role in Deflategate.

So when the Patriots unveiled their tribute to their quarterback inside Gillette Stadium, Payton surely took notice. He sent this tweet Sunday morning, which certainly looks like a silent endorsement of the Patriots’ decision.

It’s probably safe to assume Roger Goodell won’t be retweeting that any time soon.
