One glimpse is all you’ll need to see why UEFA took the extraordinary step of postponing a Champions League game.

A lightning storm and torrential rain hit Manchester, England, on Tuesday, forcing UEFA to postpone Manchester City’s clash with Borussia Monchengladbach. The storm waterlogged the field at Etihad Stadium and prompted safety concerns, which led to UEFA officials doing the sensible thing.

The Borussia Mönchengladbach fans who traveled from Germany to Manchester didn’t seem to mind the storm.

UEFA will determine whether to play the game Wednesday or on another date.

Better safe than sorry, right?
