EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Two of the NFL’s biggest stars shared a nice moment after Thursday’s preseason finale at MetLife Stadium.

Following the New York Giants’ 17-9 win over the New England Patriots, Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady swapped autographed jerseys.

The postgame swap was nearly a year in the making, according to Brady.

“I promised him a jersey last year, and I forgot,” Brady told reporters after the game. “So he came over and gave me his, and we swapped them. … He’s a great player, and I love watching him.”

Beckham was limited to four catches on 12 targets when these teams met last November, but that was enough to pick up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown as the Patriots edged his Giants 27-26.

The All-Pro wideout watched from the sideline Thursday night, but Brady played the entire first half, completing 16 of 26 passes for 166 yards and one score. It was the last anyone will see of the QB on a football field until early October, as his four-game Deflategate suspension officially begins Saturday.
