The Minnesota Vikings turned to an interesting source for inspiration Sunday.

Chad Greenway and his Vikings teammate huddled up in the tunnel before running onto the field prior to their game against the Tennessee Titans. In their quest to get pumped up, they gave a shout-out to Harambe, which doesn’t make much sense yet is pretty hilarious, anyway.

Harambe, of course, is the gorilla who got shot and killed at the Cincinnati Zoo in May after a 3-year-old child climbed into his enclosure. Harambe since has received a lot of love, and his popularity clearly knows no bounds based on Minnesota’s pregame antics.

Also, the whole thing worked, as the Vikings defeated the Titans 25-16 in Week 1.
