While many athletes across the country are taking a knee before they take the field, Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre continues to do so while he’s actually playing the game.
In what has become a recurring theme throughout his career, Beltre launched a mammoth home run while dropping to one knee Tuesday night against the Houston Astros, in a game the Rangers went on to win 3-2.

Beltre’s latest bomb — a projected 425-foot missile off Astros starter Brad Peacock — was his 30th and hardest-hit home run of the season, leaving the bat at 107.6 mph, according to MLB Statcast.
It was also the 443rd home run of Beltre’s potentially Hall of Fame career and marked the fifth season the slugger has hit at least 30 home runs, with three of those seasons coming with the Rangers. Only Rafael Palmeiro and Juan Gonzalez have more 30-homer seasons with the Rangers, each doing so six times.
