David Ortiz is having a final season to remember, and he added another memorable moment Tuesday night.

The Boston Red Sox designated hitter smashed a three-run home run off Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kevin Gausman in the top of the seventh inning. It was his 36th homer of the season and career blast No. 539. He also surpassed Dave Kingman for the most home runs by a player in their final season.

No doubt about that one.

It also was a timely homer, as the Red Sox were ahead by only one run at the time, but Big Papi’s blast gave Boston some breathing room.
