Adrien Broner Update: Boxer ‘Okay’ After Apparent Suicide Threats; Hacker Blamed

Adrien Broner is doing fine. The modest diagnosis will thrill those who care about him.

The suicidal suggestions Broner made on social media Wednesday were the result of a hacking, FOX-19 Cincinnati’s Jeremy Rauch reported later in the day, citing a source close to the popular boxer.

“That same source told FOX19 NOW that Broner is ‘alive and well’ and had ‘no idea’ there were suicide threats made on his Instagram,” Rauch writes. “Broner is now claiming that his social media accounts were hacked following those posts.”

The posts, which included an apology not and a picture of a handgun scared Broner’s friends and family, at least one of whom called the police to check on him.

The police did just that after the posts went viral on the Internet.

Later on, Broner’s fiancée posted on Snapchat that “Adrien is okay,” according to FOX Sports’ Nick Schwarz.

Thankfully, Broner, former WBA world super-lightweight champion, is okay. What the hackers did isn’t.
