Arian Foster has had enough.

The often-injured 30-year-old running back announced he’s walking away from football due to his ongoing health problems and inability to get healthy. The announcement came Monday night via UNINTERRUPTED, and is effective immediately.

Foster signed with the Miami Dolphins last offseason after spending the first seven seasons of his career with the Houston Texans. He’s played just four games this season and managed only 133 total yards from scrimmage.

The four-time Pro Bowler and former All-Pro back finishes his career with 6,527 rushing yards, 2,346 receiving yards and 68 total touchdowns. Foster led the NFL in rushing yards with 1,616 in 2010 and twice led the league in rushing touchdowns (16, 2010 and 15, 2012).

Foster recently lost the starting job to backup Jay Ajayi, who has posted back-to-back 200-plus-yard rushing performances.
