BOSTON — The Bruins will be without their No. 1 goaltender when they take on the Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden on Saturday night.
Tuukka Rask is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury and won’t dress for this game. Veteran netminder Anton Khudobin will start for Boston, with Zane McIntyre — who was recalled from the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins on an emergency basis Saturday — serving as the backup.
There aren’t any changes expected for the rest of the Bruins’ lineup.
The Canadiens made a few substantial changes to their roster over the offseason. They traded No. 1 defenseman P.K. Subban for former All-Star Shea Weber in a shocking trade. They also added Russian forward Alexander Radulov and former Chicago Blackhawks winger Andrew Shaw in separate deals.
It remains to be seen if these bold moves will pay off for the Canadiens, but the most impactful addition has been elite goaltender Carey Price, who missed most of last season with an injury.
