Brett Favre expects the NFL to feel the wrath of Tom Brady.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback said Friday on his weekly SiriusXM NFL radio show that Brady likely will earn his vengeance against the NFL by raising his performance level to new heights and dominating the opposition for the rest of the season.

Brady missed the first four games of the season due to his Deflategate suspension and makes his long-awaited return Sunday when the New England Patriots visit the Cleveland Browns in Week 5.

“It doesn’t bode well for everyone else, starting with Cleveland, because I feel like Tom is going to take it out on everybody who he faces,” Favre said. “You know, the guy is incredible, he’s a heck of a player, and he is such a competitor. To me, as I’ve watched him over the years, that’s what’s been most impressive is that the fire seems to get bigger each year, and that’s hard. To me, the competitive fire and spirit that he shows is at a level each year that is surprising to me.

Favre added that Brady’s suspension only will make him hungrier for success, even though he already has had so much in his NFL career.

“With this situation, not that (Brady) needs an edge — nor Belichick needs an edge because he coaches with an edge, he’s always looking for an angle to approach his team with,” Favre said. “Tom’s sort of that type of player and he’s got that edge now and he’s going to take it out on everyone in his way. So that’s not good for everyone else.”

So it is written: Brady will rain down fire and brimstone on Cleveland first, then the rest of the league. This from the book of Favre.
