Chris Hogan Gets Taken To Suplex City By Steelers’ Artie Jones On Big Hit

Brock Lesnar isn’t known for being a barrel of laughs, but he might have smiled during the New England Patriots’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

The ninth mayor of Suplex City and WWE superstar is famous for his back-breaking German suplexes, which he delivers mercilessly with unparalleled force. Yet it wasn’t Lesnar grabbing headlines for the move Sunday afternoon, but rather Steelers rookie cornerback Artie Burns, who finished a tackle against Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan with a suplex of his own.

As far as suplexes go, this wasn’t too bad for a non-wrestler. But Burns was assessed a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty on the play, a party foul in the NFL. Tough break.

Though the play might put Burns over with Patriots-hating Steelers fans, Hogan kicked out and walked off the field perfectly fine, while Burns’ penalty didn’t do his team any favors when he tagged out.

Considering all the Patriots do is eat, sleep, conquer and repeat — they did so again Sunday with a 27-16 win — Burns is going to have to shove that beastly nature back inside and keep his emotions in check.

Pats retain.
