Any conversation about soccer’s best goalkeepers must include Hugo Lloris.

The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper provedĀ as much Tuesday when he made a dramatic save in Tottenham’s 0-0 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League.

Leverkusen marksman Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez looked destined to score in the 48th minute when Lloris madeĀ one of the best — if not the best — saves of the year.

Check it out from a few angles.

Chicharito protested, claiming the ball had crossed the goal line, but technology proved that wasn’t the case.

Maneul Neuer and Gigi Buffon normally lead the “world’s best goalkeeper” debate, but Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino entered his captain into the fray with some high praise in his postgame press conference.

As well he should.
