LeBron James won’t let anything, or anyone, overshadow the Cleveland Cavaliers on game day, not even Khloe Kardashian.
The Cavs superstar reportedly confronted teammate Tristan Thompson over Kardashian’s presence at their game Tuesday, Hollywoodlife.com’s Gabrielle Ginsburg reported, citing a source. James apparently is concerned Khardashian, a reality-television star and Thompson’s girlfriend, could distract the Cavs from their goal of successfully defending their NBA title in 2016-17.
But Thompson immediately defended Khardashian … albeit with a slight caveat.
“Tristan isn’t taking any crap from his teammates anymore,” the source said. “As far as he’s concerned, Khloe’s coming to every damn game she chooses. Tristan told LeBron straight up before last night’s game that Khloe was coming and that was that.
“Tristan told LeBron that Khloe is his good luck charm, and that if they lost last night, then he’d consider asking her not to come in the future.”
With Kardashian in attendance at Quicken Loans Arena, the Cavs walloped the New York Knicks 117-88 in the teams’ season opener.
“They obviously won, and after the game, Tristan had an I-told-you-so moment with LeBron,” the source concludes.
In sports and stardom, there’s no problem-solver like winning.
