Editor’s note: NESN.com’s Mike Cole, Ricky Doyle and Andre Khatchaturian deliver their NFL picks every Thursday of the season. Here’s who they like in the Detroit Lions-Houston Texans Week 8 game, with the line from OddsShark.

Detroit Lions at (-2.5) Houston Texans, Sunday, 1 p.m.
Mike: Texans. The Texans (who are 3-0-1 against the spread at home, by the way) will get in Matthew Stafford’s face on defense, while their offense probably is pumped to face another weak defense after getting Denver and Minnesota in two of the three weeks before this one.
Ricky: Lions. Stafford has been playing great during Detroit’s three-game winning streak. The Lions also have been showing some resiliency in their come-from-behind wins. Let’s gamble that the magic lasts another week, as Brock Osweiler and the Texans’ offense is leaving much to be desired.
Andre: Lions. Stafford is quietly having himself quite a year (15 TD, 4 INT, 68 percent completion percentage) and he?s the primary reason why they?ve won three straight games. The Lions? biggest weakness has been pass defense (8.2 yards allowed per pass attempt) but Osweiler isn?t the type of guy that?s going to expose the Lions too much. Sidenote: Detroit’s last four games have been decided by three points or less, and I don?t see this one being any different.
