Week 7 of the NFL season features several exciting matchups that could have major implications on playoff seeding and the playoff race itself in both the AFC and NFC.

The most-anticipated matchup of the week is the 5-1 New England Patriots traveling on the road to play the 4-2 Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger reportedly won’t play because of a knee injury, but it still should be a good game.

An NFC West showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, as well as a “Monday Night Football” matchup between the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos also will impact the playoff race in more ways than one.
