John FarrellIt’s the Major League Baseball playoffs. Everyone is under immense pressure to succeed, as every decision, every inning, every at-bat, every pitch is viewed through a microscope.

Some guys have it harder than others, though. And as the Red Sox prepare to begin their 2016 postseason journey, a few folks roaming Boston’s clubhouse really need to step up.

Sure, if the Red Sox succeed in their quest for a fourth World Series title since 2004, it’ll take a total team effort. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. But there’s no denying that certain parts are facing a ton of heat as Boston begins its playoff slate with an American League Division Series clash against the Cleveland Indians, whether it’s because of expectations, circumstance or past history.

So, let’s see who’s facing the most pressure for the Red Sox this October (and early November?).
