Tom Brady Awakens: QB, Bill Belichick Star In ESPN’s Star Wars Video

It’s a trap!

ESPN’s relationship with the Patriots has been pretty rocky since Deflategate, so we’ll forgive New England fans if they were a bit suspect of the network’s Patriots/Star Wars-themed Facebook post Sunday. But remember, fear is the path to the Dark Side.

As you’re probably well aware, Brady will be back on the field next Sunday for the Patriots’ Week 5 matchup with the Cleveland Browns after being suspended for the first four games of the season. And he can’t come back soon enough after the Pats laid an egg against the Buffalo Bills in Week 4.

So to honor the quarterback’s big return, ESPN turned Patriots coach Bill Belichick into Rey and Brady into Luke Skywalker from the ending of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

You have to admit, that was pretty clever.
