Boston Celtics basketball officially is back.
The Celtics will tip off their 2016-17 regular season Wednesday night at TD Garden with a matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Expectations are high in Boston after the team signed All-Star big man Al Horford this summer, while Brooklyn appears headed for another season of futility.
But the Nets split their season series with the Celtics in 2015-16, including a win at TD Garden on Jan. 2, so the C’s will need to bring their A-game to avoid a letdown.
