Berkshire Bank Hockey Night In New England: Projected Bruins-Flyers Lines, Pairings

The Boston Bruins take on a high-scoring Philadelphia Flyers team on the road Tuesday night without two of their most veteran defensemen.

Captain and No. 1 blueliner Zdeno Chara and John-Michael Liles will be out of the lineup for head coach Claude Julien. That could be a problem against a Flyers offense that ranks third in goals scored per game and second in power-play percentage.

Luckily for the Bruins, the Flyers aren’t a good defensive team even when fully healthy. Philly ranks 29th in goals against average and lacks a true No. 1 defenseman to go up against the Patrice Bergeron line.

It should be a high-scoring, fast-paced game between two rivals.

Here are the projected lineups for both teams.

BOSTON BRUINS (12-10-0)
Brad Marchand–Patrice Bergeron–David Pastrnak
Tim Schaller–David Krejci–David Backes
Matt Beleskey–Riley Nash–Austin Czarnik
Ryan Spooner–Dominic Moore–Jimmy Hayes

Torey Krug–Adam McQuaid
Brandon Carlo–Kevan Miller
Joe Morrow–Colin Miller

Tuukka Rask

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS (10-10-3)
Michael Raffl–Claude Giroux–Jakub Voracek
Travis Konecny–Nick Cousins–Wayne Simmonds
Chris VandeVelde–Brayden Schenn–Roman Lyubimov
Matt Read–Pierre-Edouard–Dale Weise

Michael Del Zotto–Mark Streit
Andrew MacDonald-Shayne Gostisbehere
Ivan Provorov–Radko Gudas
