Brad Marchand’s big October (three goals, seven assists) caught the attention of Boston fans, who voted the veteran winger the Cape Air Bruins Player of the Month.

Marchand signed an eight-year, $49 million contract extension in September, then immediately proved that worth in the Bruins’ season opener, when he helped dig Boston out of a two-goal hole with two goals and three assists in a 6-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Dianne Moniz from Hopedale, Mass., voted for Marchand and won the drawing for two roundtrip tickets to any of Cape Air’s more than 40 destinations.

Voting for the Bruins Player of the Month for November starts Nov. 17, and you can make your selection here.
