The Boston Celtics will look to wrap up their three-game road trip with a win Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets as 6 1/2-point favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Boston tallied a 94-92 win over the Detroit Pistons as two-point underdogs Saturday before topping the Minnesota Timberwolves 99-93 as 1 1/2-point chalk Monday, and have now won and covered in five of seven heading into Wednesday night’s Celtics vs. Nets betting matchup at Barclays Center.

Low-scoring affairs have become commonplace for the Celtics this season. Their recent road victories extended a trend that has seen them score fewer than 100 points in four straight, and five of eight.

But the Celtics also have held opponents below the century mark in five of seven, providing a windfall to bettors taking the under on the totals, which has prevailed in each of Boston’s past eight games.

Boston’s recent solid play also has reversed the club’s slow start on the road. The Celtics are 3-1, straight up and against the spread, in their past four road dates, after opening the season with just one SU win in their first four games.

The C’s also have performed well on the road when getting the nod from oddsmakers, going 6-1 SU in seven overall, and 3-1 ATS this season, with the total finishing under in each of their past six such outings.

The Celtics will have an opportunity to build on those trends against a Brooklyn Nets squad mired in a four-game SU losing streak.

The Nets are coming off a 129-109 beating on home court at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers, and have now surrendered at least 124 points in each of their past four games. Not surprisingly, Brooklyn has failed to cover during their current swoon, and is 1-4-1 ATS over its past six after opening the season with a respectable 6-1 ATS run.

The over also has dominated in Nets contests of late, prevailing in six of seven. However, it is the under that has paid out in three of the Celtics’ last four visits to Brooklyn, with Boston coming away with the SU win in each of those contests, according to the OddsShark NBA Database.

Following Wednesday night’s tilt, the Celtics return home Friday night looking to end a nine-game SU losing streak against the visiting San Antonio Spurs, who own a perfect 7-0 SU road record this season.

The Spurs also have dominated Boston at the sportsbooks, covering in six of their last eight meetings, and have held the Celtics to 92 or fewer points in four of five visits to TD Garden.
