Bill Simmons criticized NBC Sports’ Cris Collinsworth on Sunday night, and the former NFL wideout hit back from the top rope.

Simmons wasn’t pleased with some of Collinsworth’s color commentary during the “Sunday Night Football” matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. Simmons, a former ESPN personality who also runs “The Ringer,” is a Patriots fan and Boston native.

Collinsworth responded to Simmons with a tweet of his own Monday afternoon, taking a shot at Simmons’ recently canceled HBO show, “Any Given Wednesday.”

Ouch. That was a vicious comeback from Collinsworth.

Collinsworth since has deleted the tweet, but like many things on the internet, it lives on forever in the form of a screenshot.
