The Boston Bruins got the win Saturday night, but that doesn’t mean everything went according to plan in their 2-1 road victory over the Arizona Coyotes.

“They’re a good first-period team, and we didn’t cash in right away,” Bruins coach Claude Julien told NESN’s Andy Brickley and Jack Edwards on “Bruins Overtime Live.” “We had some good chances, and I liked our first period. But, maybe for some reason, some of our players thought it was going to be an easy night.

“I didn’t like our second (period), didn’t like our third. Thought we were very soft and sloppy, and because of that, it ended up making it a nailbiter. It wasn’t necessary, we could have handled it better and hopefully we learn from that.”
