Colin Kaepernick Reveals First Wave Of Donations For ‘Million Dollar Pledge’

Colin Kaepernick didn’t exercise his right to vote in the general election, but it appears he’s making good on his promise to make a difference in the community.

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who has protested during national anthems this season to protest racial inequality in America, said back in September he’d donate the first $1 million he makes this season to organizations that could help promote social justice.

On Friday, Kaepernick took to Instagram to give an update on the “Million Dollar Pledge.”

The QB’s website, Kaepernick7.com, details the donations Kaepernick made in October and what he plans to do in November. Kaepernick donated $25,000 each in October to four different organizations: Silicon Valley De-Bug in San Jose, Causa Justa in the Bay Area, Urban Underground in Milwaukee and Mothers Against Police Brutality in Dallas.

For November, Kaepernick plans to donate $25,000 each to the Black Youth Project in Chicago, The Gathering For Justice and Communities United For Police Reform in New York and the I Will Not Die Young Campaign in Milwaukee.
