David Ortiz’s final season didn’t end with the World Series trophy every Boston fan wanted, but the recently retired Boston Red Sox legend still has been piling up the hardware, and that trend continued Monday night at the second annual “The Globies” awards program.

Unsurprisingly, Ortiz was named Red Sox MVP in front of a large crowd at the House of Blues. Big Papi then delighted that crowd by calling Boston “the best (expletive) sports city in the world,” a slight nod to his famous speech after the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.

Watch the above video from NESN Sports Today, presented by People’s United Bank, to hear Ortiz’s memorable speech.
