FOXBORO, Mass. — Dion Lewis will not make his season debut Sunday night.

The running back was one of seven Patriots inactives for New England’s showdown with the Seattle Seahawks at Gillette Stadium.

Lewis has not seen game action since tearing his ACL in Week 9 of last season. He returned to practice Oct. 27 but remained on the physically unable to perform list until the Patriots added him to their 53-man roster Saturday afternoon.

Offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle, defensive lineman Woodrow Hamilton, running back D.J. Foster, tight end Matt Lengel, cornerback Eric Rowe and linebacker Kyle Van Noy rounded out Sunday’s inactives for New England. Van Noy has yet to see the field since being acquired from the Detroit Lions on Oct. 25, while Rowe started in each of the Patriots’ previous two games.

Cornerback Cyrus Jones returned to the lineup after sitting out three consecutive games as a healthy scratch, and wide receiver Chris Hogan also was active after missing Friday’s practice with a back injury.
