DraftKings Week 13 Lineup: Best Player Picks In DFS Fantasy Football
It’s that time of year when the playoffs are getting underway in season-long fantasy football leagues. But if you’re on the outside looking in, don’t sweat it: There’s always daily fantasy, which has plenty to offer for Sunday’s robust slate.
Here are our DraftKings picks for Week 13.
Quarterback: Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers ($6,100)
Kaepernick isn’t making many friends, but he has made fantasy owners happy with some high-volume games since becoming the Niners’ starter. The dual-threat QB has another great chance to rack up points through the air and on the ground against a Chicago Bears defense allowing 24 points per game.
Running Backs: Jordan Howard, Chicago Bears ($6,900); Spencer Ware, Kansas City Chiefs ($6,400)
The 49ers are allowing an incredible 171.8 rushing yards per contest, so it’s almost impossible not to go with Howard. who’s averaging 5.1 yards per rush and consistently getting 20-plus touches every game.
Ware hasn’t found the end zone since Week 6, but he’s still the man in KC’s backfield. He could be in for a big day against the Atlanta Falcons, who have allowed a whopping 446 total yards to opposing running backs in the last two weeks.
Wide Receivers: Julian Edelman, New England Patriots ($6,800), Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks ($6,700); Taylor Gabriel, Atlanta Falcons ($4,000)
Tom Brady has targeted Edelman 28 times in the last two weeks. That’s a lot. Expect the ball to be heading Edelman’s way again in Week 13, especially if Rob Gronkowski is out or limited against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Seahawks’ offense laid a dud last weekend, but all signs point to a rebound in Week 13: Seattle is a perfect 5-0 at home this season and faces a Carolina Panthers defense that is searching for answers after losing linebacker Luke Kuechly.
After his two-touchdown game Sunday, Gabriel looks like more than just a flash in the pan, and this weekend, he will face a Chiefs unit that has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.
Tight End: C.J. Fiedorowicz, Houston Texans ($3,800)
Fiedorowicz has seen 16 targets in his last two games, and that bodes well in a matchup with the Green Bay Packers, who rank 31st in yards allowed to opposing tight ends this season.
Flex: Theo Riddick, Detroit Lions ($5,800)
Riddick struggled to find room against the Minnesota Vikings on Thanksgiving, but things should open up for him against a New Orleans Saints defense giving up 370.5 yards per game in total offense.
Defense: Seattle Seahawks ($3,500)
The Seahawks at home in prime time against a Panthers offense that has committed 21 turnovers, the fourth-most in the NFL, in 11 games? Yes, please.
