DraftKings Week 9 Lineup: Best Player Picks In DFS Fantasy Football
The dreaded Week 9 bye week is here, but don’t worry: There still are plenty of solid options on the daily fantasy landscape.
So, before Week 9 kicks off Thursday night with a matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, let’s take a look at some solid lineup options for your squad.
Here are our DraftKings picks for Week 9.
Quarterback: Dak Prescott ($6,100)
The Cowboys are sticking with Prescott after he tallied two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in Dallas’ Week 8 overtime win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Prescott has a great matchup against the 0-8 Cleveland Browns in Week 9, so expect more of the same.
Running Backs: DeMarco Murray ($7,600); Charcandrick West, Kansas City Chiefs ($4,400)
Murray is one of the most consistent running backs in fantasy and has scored in three consecutive weeks. His success should continue against the San Diego Chargers, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in standard leagues this season.
Injuries to Jamaal Charles and Spencer Ware likely will leave Kansas City’s backfield duties to West. That’s good news for him, as he faces a lackluster Jacksonville Jaguars defense and likely will get plenty of touches if the Chiefs find themselves ahead early.
Wide Receivers: Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins ($7,100); Donte Moncrief, Indianapolis Colts ($5,800); Kenny Britt, Los Angeles Rams ($4,400)
Landry has 26 more targets this season than the next-closest Dolphins receiver (DaVante Parker). He should see plenty versus a New York Jets defense that’s gotten torched through the air all season.
Moncrief found the end zone in his first game back from injury last Sunday, and the Colts likely will be throwing a lot against the Green Bay Packers, who boast the NFL’s best run defense.
Britt came back down to Earth a bit in Week 7 but is coming off a bye and has an excellent matchup at home against the Carolina Panthers, who have allowed a whopping 306 receiving yards per game this season.
Tight End: Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys ($3,700)
Witten is a solid stack play with Prescott after he caught the rookie’s game-winning touchdown pass in overtime last Sunday night. The Browns also have given up big numbers to opposing tight ends.
Flex: Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers ($7,700)
Bell has fresh legs after Pittsburgh’s bye and should rack up the touches Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens, who allowed Bell to rush for a season-high 129 yards and a touchdown in the one game he played against them last season.
Defense: Philadelphia Eagles ($3,100)
The Eagles are in line for a bounce-back week against a New York Giants offense that’s allowed 11 sacks, thrown six interceptions and fumbled eight times in just seven games.
