Falcons Troll Browns Over Taylor Gabriel’s Breakout Performance Vs. Cardinals

Maybe the Atlanta Falcons are just telling the Cleveland Browns “you should have given Taylor Gabriel a chance.” Or perhaps this is some expert-level trolling.

The Falcons on Sunday used Twitter to thank the Browns for releasing Gabriel, who scored two touchdowns in Atlanta’s 38-19 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Cleveland signed Gabriel as an undrafted free agent in 2014 but released him two years later. Having signed Gabriel on Sept. 4, Atlanta told their 1.1 million followers Cleveland’s loss is their gain.

Gabriel scored touchdowns on 35- and 25-yard screen passes, adding a potent new dimension to Atlanta’s explosive offense.

The two touchdowns were his first of the season, and the total already represents a career high.

The Browns are 0-12, plunging to new depths with each passing week.
