Indians Fan Probably Regrets Rolling Dice With This World Series Tattoo

Some call it bold. Some call it faith. Some call it stupidity.

One overzealous Indians fan was so confident Cleveland would defeat the Cubs in Game 7 of the World Series that he tweeted this photo of a “2016 champs” tattoo he apparently got at some point before the winner-take-all showdown, which Chicago won 8-7 in 10 innings.

Even without the benefit of hindsight, this seems like a terrible idea. With the benefit of hindsight, this is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.

Look, I appreciate having faith in your team. It’s what being a sports fan is all about. But let’s not throw common sense out the window for the sake of … bragging rights?

Really, what’s the best-case scenario here: You brag about getting the tattoo before the Indians actually won, flaunt that fact (and the tattoo) for a few weeks and then at some point down the road realize, “Wow, that would have sucked if the Indians didn’t win,” mostly because everyone who sees it moving forward is just going to assume you got it after Cleveland’s victory?

The worst-case scenario? Well, you’re looking at it.
