Joel Embiid sounds like he thinks America needs to go through a rebuilding.
The Philadelphia 76ers center, like many others, seemed shocked to see the results of Tuesday night’s election where Donald Trump pulled off a shocking win, upsetting Hillary Clinton and winning the presidency.
Embiid was far from alone in his displeasure toward Trump’s win, but the big man did express his frustration in a creative and rather humorous way. The 22-year-old compared America to the Sixers’ seemingly never-ending rebuilding process with a clever tweet early Tuesday morning.
The “trust the process” mention is a nice nod to Philly’s ongoing efforts to turn things around, a process in which Embiid is a huge piece. Here’s hoping America doesn’t need to go to Sixers depths before prospering, though.
