Knicks Surprise Army Veteran With Service Dog, And OK, Who’s Cutting Onions?

This is the pick-me-up the country needs right about now, no matter which side you landed on in Tuesday’s shocking election.

The election cycle was a brutal, hateful one, and given the reaction to the results, we might be in for a long road ahead.

That being said, sports, fans, let’s allow the New York Knicks — of all folks — to cheer us up and put a smile on our faces.

The Knicks, in a touching moment Wednesday night, honored Army sergeant first class Luciano Yulfo before the game as part of their Hoops for Troops program.

Yulfo, a 36-year veteran injured on duty in 2014 in Afghanistan, has been on the waiting list for a service dog since returning from combat. Knicks fans gave him a well-deserved standing ovation, and then the club surprised him with Murphy, his very own service dog.

And, as you might imagine, it was awesome.
