NFL Injury Report: Tracking Week 11 Fantasy Football Injuries For Notable Stars

Nov 20, 2016

11:30 p.m.: We already brought you bad news about A.J. Green, and his Cincinnati Bengals teammate — running back Gio Bernard — also got bad news Sunday. He reportedly tore his ACL, meaning the 3-6-1 Bengals are in even more trouble than originally thought.

7:30 p.m.: It was a tough day for Philadelphia Eagles running backs. In addition to Ryan Mathews going down with a knee injury, Philly lost Darren Sproles to a rib injury against Seattle. Head coach Doug Pederson didn’t offer any more information after his team’s loss to the Seahawks. Philadelphia does get an extra day of rest ahead of a “Monday Night Football” performance in Week 12 vs. Green Bay.

6:54 p.m.: Here’s an update on Slater.

6:45 p.m.: Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller suffered a broken foot, per head coach John Fox, which is bad news for an already depleted Chicago offense.

6:30 p.m.: The Patriots’ special teams captain might not return today.

6:16 p.m.: Seahawks running back C.J. Prosise is questionable to return. He had a 72-yard touchdown run earlier in the game.

6 p.m.: Cleveland Browns quarterback Cody Kessler left his team’s game with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Browns head coach Hue Jackson revealed after the game Kessler suffered a concussion.

5:20 p.m.: Running back Ryan Mathews is questionable to return for the Philadelphia Eagles with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, a former Eagle apparently dislocated his thumb in the Buffalo Bills’ win over the Bengals.

3 p.m.: Rob Gronkowski and Jabaal Sheard officially are out for the New England Patriots against the San Francisco 49ers.

Wide receiver Torrey Smith, meanwhile, is inactive for the Niners.

2:05 p.m.: Another wide receiver injury in that same contest: Buffalo Bills wideout Robert Woods is out for the rest of the game with a knee injury.

2:00 p.m.: Bad news for the Bengals and A.J. Green fantasy owners: The Cincinnati wide receiver was carted off the field on just the second play of the game with a scary-looking hamstring injury. He has been ruled out for the rest of the afternoon.

12:30 p.m.: Todd Gurley is going to play Sunday.

Tony Romo officially is active for the Cowboys, but he’ll serve as the backup to Dak Prescott.

Kenneth Dixon could see increased opportunity Sunday. He’s had 11 touches in each of his last two games.

More than a few secondaries will be thin Sunday.

And here’s a look at a bunch of active and inactive difference makers for Week 11.

9:30 a.m.: The Seattle Seahawks will have the services of Thomas Rawls on Sunday for the first time in a while, but it looks like he’ll at least be splitting carries with rookie C.J. Prosise, who will start.

9:15 a.m.: It looks like the Chiefs will receive a boost on defense while potentially losing another Sunday.

9 a.m.: Several big-name players’ statuses seemingly have been determined hours before Sunday kickoffs. Patriots tight Rob Gronkowski, for example, didn’t even travel with the team to San Francisco, and won’t play Sunday.

Here’s a look at a few of the other important names on both sides of the ball.

— Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is expected to play despite appearing on the injury report late in the week with a back issue.

— San Francisco 49ers receiver Torrey Smith isn’t expected to play in a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff against the New England Patriots.

— Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews should be good to go.

— The Washington Redskins could be getting a boost in their receiving corps.

— Gronkowski isn’t the only Patriots offensive player missing Sunday’s game.

— Martellus Bennett and Julian Edelman are expected to play Sunday for the Patriots, though, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

8 a.m. ET: Week 11 of the NFL season is upon us, and as is the case every week, there are several players dealing with injuries entering Sunday’s slate. Keep it right here for pregame injury updates, inactives and other injury news throughout the day.
