Patriots Practice Report: Rob Gronkowski Unlikely To Play After Absence

FOXBORO, Mass. — Chances are looking slim that tight end Rob Gronkowski will make the trip to San Francisco with the rest of his Patriots teammates for New England’s Week 11 matchup with the 49ers.

Gronkowski missed his third consecutive practice Friday with a chest injury. He suffered the injury on a hit from Seahawks safety Earl Thomas in the Patriots’ Week 10 loss to Seattle. Gronkowski played through the injury at the time but hasn’t practiced since.

The Patriots typically don’t allow a player to suit up if he didn’t practice the entire week before a game.

The Patriots otherwise had perfect practice attendance. Left tackle Nate Solder, who missed Thursday’s session for non-injury related reasons, was back Friday.
