Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it appears the Buffalo Bills are taking them.

Wide receiver Percy Harvin is ending his brief retirement to re-sign with Buffalo, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday, citing league sources. Harvin’s agent, Greg Barnett, confirmed the news.

The 28-year-old last played for the Bills in 2015, appearing in just five games that season before retiring at the end of the year. He won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks during the 2013 season as a return specialist and spent the most productive years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings from 2009 to 2012. Harvin also spent part of the 2014 season with the New York Jets, catching 29 passes for 350 yards and a touchdown.

Harvin hasn’t played an NFL game in over a year, but Buffalo has been snake-bitten by injuries to key skill position players, including top wide receiver Sammy Watkins and wideout Marquise Goodwin.

The 4-4 Bills managed just 183 yards through the air in a Week 8 loss to the New England Patriots, and Walt Powell was the team’s leading receiver with three catches for 59 yards.
