Anthony Johnson is on the move again.
The New York Jets on Wednesday signed the 23-year-old defensive tackle off the New England Patriots’ practice squad.
Johnson’s name frequently has appeared on the transaction wire this season. He made the Patriots’ 53-man roster out of training camp, was released Sept. 23, was re-signed to the practice squad Sept. 25, was promoted to the active roster Oct. 15, was waived Oct. 24 and landed back on the practice squad Oct. 26.
Now, the LSU product is headed to the Jets, who must keep him on their active roster for three weeks, per NFL rules. No corresponding moves have been reported.
Johnson appeared in four of the Patriots’ first eight games, starting one and recording eight tackles.
