Gegard Mousasi finally gets a shot at revenge against Uriah Hall.

More than a year after getting knocked out by Hall in Japan, Mousasi will try to avenge the loss at UFC Fight Night Belfast on Saturday.

Since that night, Mousasi has been on a roll. He’s won three consecutive fights, including a bout against Vitor Belfort at UFC 204, and he has positioned himself for a shot at the middleweight title if he gets a couple more wins.

Meanwhile, Hall has lost his last two fights and didn’t look particularly good against Mousasi in their first meeting. Mousasi punished Hall in the first round of that fight with 16 significant strikes and almost ended it late in the round when he put Hall into submission.

Hall escaped the headlock and knocked out Mousasi with a kick to the face early in the second.

Mousasi has been vocal against critics who believe he isn’t a serious title contender because of that loss.

“I’ve got nothing against (Hall),” Mousasi told FOX Sports recently. “He’s probably a nice guy but I want my revenge. It’s more personal but not against Uriah Hall. It’s against people that thought that he’s the better fighter.”

It appears “The Dreamcatcher” is hungry for revenge. The fact that he is taking a step back to avenge his defeat rather than fight a title contender to position himself for a shot at the belt shows he is extremely confident in his abilities in this fight.

Prediction: Mousasi via submission.
