Despite repeatedly being punished for dirty play, Vontaze Burfict apparently still hasn’t learned his lesson.

The Cincinnati Bengals linebacker, who was fined $75,000 just a few weeks ago for stomping on New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount in Week 6, was back at it Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Robert Woods caught a pass in the first quarter and already had been taken down by a swarm of Bengals defenders when Burfict came flying in to deliver a dangerous shot on the Bills wide receiver.

To make matters worse, Wood was injured on this play, missing the rest of the game with what reportedly is a left knee sprain.

Woods’ knee was contorted in an awkward direction, and Burfict may have made it worse by forcefully hitting him after he already was down.

There’s no word on whether the NFL will review that hit, but Burfict could be facing discipline for another dumb thing he did Sunday. After sacking Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the fourth quarter, Burfict celebrated by giving double middle fingers to some Buffalo fans who made the trip to Cincinnati.

The 26-year-old linebacker already has accrued a whopping $805,000 worth of fines in three-plus NFL seasons, and that number very well could increase after Sunday.
