The loser of Saturday’s Egg Bowl will wind up in last place in the SEC West, but the game still will be heated.
The Mississippi State-Ole Miss rivalry is one of the oldest in college football, as their first meeting came in 1901. So, even though neither team will boast a .500 record after this weekend’s matchup, a lot of glory still is on the line.
The Rebels might have an advantage, though, as the game is at Ole Miss, and they have a 4-2 record at home this season.
