Is Tom Brady The Greatest Quarterback Of All Time? Boomer Esiason Believes So

Despite playing in the same era as Joe Montana, Dan Marino and many other great quarterbacks, Boomer Esiason believes Tom Brady is the greatest to ever play the position.

In an interview with Jim Rome, Esiason said despite some of the off-the-field stories, Brady’s play on the field warrants the honor.

“He’s the greatest of all time. I don’t care what anyone says,” Esiason said on “The Jim Rome Show” on Friday. “I don’t care about Deflategate, Spygate, I don’t care about any of that stuff. I just look at what a guy does on the field.”

Even though Brady’s career isn’t over, Esiason believes the body of work he has put together thus far speaks for itself.

“It’s a number of things,” Esiason said. “One, longevity. Two, the success that he’s had in big games. The AFC Championship games, the Super Bowls, they didn’t lose Super Bowls because of his poor play, I can tell you that.”

Esiason also believes that despite missing the first four games of the season, Brady should still be considered for NFL MVP.

“He will be in the MVP conversation,” Esiason said, “though some people won’t like that, because he will only have played 12 games, assuming he makes it the rest of the way, but his performance has been just nothing, like I said, short of sensational.”
