Cavs Fan Spent $800, Drove Four Hours To Not See LeBron James Play

The Cleveland Cavaliers rested a bunch of players for Wednesday night’s road game against the Memphis Grizzlies. LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love were among the stars left at home, much to the dismay of one fan who spent a lot of money and drove several hours to see one of his favorite players.

James can’t be expected to play in every game, especially when he’s played deep into June for six straight seasons. But the Cavs only play in Memphis one time each regular season because the Grizzlies are a Western Conference team.

This probably was the fan’s only chance to see James this season unless these teams met in the NBA Finals, and that’s almost certainly not going to happen. Wednesday night also was the first time Cleveland has played in Memphis as the defending NBA champions.

Hopefully, James and/or the Cavs make it up to this fan.
