Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie will compete in UFC’s inaugural women’s featherweight title fight at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, and Cris “Cyborg” Justino is not happy about it.

The Brazil native has been competing at or around 145 pounds since 2005 and has a 17-1 record in professional mixed martial arts competition. Very few of those fights have been in UFC, as the promotion hasn’t had a women’s featherweight division until now, but Justino still is considered the best women’s featherweight fighter in the sport.

For that reason, Justino feels personally slighted by the fact she was left off the Feb. 11 ticket.

“It’s no surprise to me, it has always been personal between (UFC president) Dana (White) and me,” Justino said in a statement to FOX Sports. “I agreed to fight Holly at UFC Brasilia (in March) and had no problem fighting her for the first belt, I just asked them to give me a date in March.

“Dana White spent 10 years telling fans there was no one for me to fight, but now he finds a girl who is 0-2 and another who hasn’t fought at 145 (pounds) in half a decade to fight for the belt, instead of waiting to promote the fight when I’m healthy.”

White said he offered Justino a spot at UFC 208 in February or UFC 209 on March 4 and that Justino declined both dates. However, the 31-year-old said she simply asked for a date later in March in order to recover from fighting at 140 pounds at UFC Fight Night Brasilia in September.

“This was a personal decision about Dana White not wanting to promote me,” Justino told FOX.  “If my last fight was at 145 (pounds) I would not have needed the extra time for recovery.”

Justino has a point, but the decision also could have been made because UFC 208 currently has no title fight. Whatever the reason, you can be sure Justino will be out for revenge when (or if) she finally gets a shot at the featherweight belt.
