In addition to being one of the greatest basketball players ever, Michael Jordan has a reputation for being one of the best trash talkers.
That’s why it’s so surprising that Toronto Blue Jays third basemen Josh Donaldson tried to go toe-to-toe with “Air Jordan” when it comes to talking smack.
As Donaldson told MLB Network’s “Intentional Talk,” the two played a round of golf together and both needed a 20-foot putt in order to make par. After Donaldson sunk his, he asked Jordan how he felt about his chances.
“There’s nobody you want with the ball at the last second more than MJ,” Jordan said.
“Maybe Reggie Miller, I might take Reggie Miller over you,” Donaldson replied.
Donaldson’s reply didn’t sit well with Jordan, and he replied with an end-all argument.
“How many rings does Reggie got?” Jordan said.
While Jordan might have won the round of smack talk, it appears Donaldson won the round on the links.
All in all, it certainly seemed to be a memorable day for the 2015 American League MVP.
