The Baltimore Ravens are mourning the loss of Konrad Reuland.
The former NFL tight end died Monday at age 29, just two weeks after he suffered a brain aneurysm, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh delivered the bad news to reporters Monday following his team’s 30-23 loss to the New England Patriots.
“We lost a Raven today,” Harbaugh said, per ESPN. “I just want to offer condolences to his family. We love Konrad Reuland. Every single guy in the locker room loves him.”
Reuland played four games for Baltimore in 2015. In the two previous seasons, he played 26 games for the New York Jets, catching 12 passes for 90 yards and no touchdowns.
Reuland attended Notre Dame and Stanford, playing for both universities.
Reuland’s former teammates expressed their sadness and saluted him on Twitter.
