Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman swung his stick and connected on a vicious cross-check to the back of San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture’s head in Wednesday night’s game at Canadian Tire Centre.
It earned Hoffman a five-minute major penalty and an ejection from the game.
We’ll see if the NHL’s Department of Player Safety takes a look at this play to see if further discipline is needed.
