The Miami Marlins have bolstered their bullpen with an experienced right-hander.

Junichi Tazawa and the Marlins have agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract, per MLB Network’s Jon Heyman and FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal. Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports the deal is pending a physical.

Tazawa had a 4.17 ERA with 54 strikeouts and 14 walks over 49 2/3 innings in 53 appearances for the Boston Red Sox last season.

The 30-year-old veteran spent each of his first seven MLB seasons in Boston. He played a key role in the Red Sox bullpen during the team’s 2013 World Series run.
