MLB Winter Meetings 2016 Winners, Losers: What’s The Fallout From Busy Week?

Major League Baseball’s winter meetings officially wrapped up Thursday, ending a furious four-day stretch in National Harbor, Md., that saw the Boston Red Sox pull off a blockbuster trade for Chris Sale, the New York Yankees pony up for Aroldis Chapman (again) and several other teams do some moving and shaking.

The offseason is far from over, of course, and with free agents like Edwin Encarnacion and Kenley Jansen still on the market, MLB general managers still have plenty of work to do before spring training begins in February.

But the end of winter meetings still marks a transition period, as baseball’s 30 teams head their separate ways and hunker down for the winter.
