Patriots Injury Report: Martellus Bennett, Tom Brady Among Limited Participants

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots received bad news about Rob Gronkowski on Thursday, finding out he needs back surgery, but three key offensive playmakers returned to practice.

Tight end Martellus Bennett (ankle/shoulder), quarterback Tom Brady (knee) and wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot) all were limited in practice Thursday after they didn’t participate Wednesday.

Defensive linemen Woodrow Hamilton (illness) and defensive end Trey Flowers (shin) were added to the injury report Thursday.
