Two Los Angeles Rams players were fined Friday for illegal plays made during Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots.

Running back Todd Gurley was docked $9,115 by the NFL for a chop block on Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower. Gurley was penalized on the play, and Hightower briefly left the game before returning.

Cornerback Trumaine Johnson was fined twice as much ($18,231) for his facemask on Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount, which somehow did not draw a flag on the field.

Blount carried the ball 18 times for 88 yards and one touchdown in the Patriots’ 26-10 victory at Gillette Stadium.
